There’s nothing better than a good old fashioned ghost story, minus the scary ghosts. If you like a good mystery with a few ghosts, then you’ll love The Sun Down Motel.
The Sun Down Motel is the first book I’ve read by author Simone St. James. I liked the way she kept me engaged with her writing, and I’ll more than likely read another one of her books in the near future.
In 1982 while working at the Sun Down Motel, Viv Delaney disappears without a trace. Her body was never found. It isn’t until many years later her neice decideds to track down what happened to her aunt.
Carly (her neice) decides it would be smart if she took the same job as her aunt when she dissapeared. Luck has it, Carly gets a job working the grave-yard shift at the Sun Down Motel.
Slowly, with help of another resident from the motel, Carley puts the peices together and figures out what happened to her Aunt Viv when she dissapeared…or does she?
This book holds a lot of mystery and it’s twists will have you hurling. You really won’t know what’s going on, although, you’ll think you’ve figured it out. By the time you get done with this book, you’ll be thinking to yourself, “why didn’t I even think of that”?
Although this book has ghosts in it, they’re not your typically spooky ghosts. The ghosts do play a pivotal part in the book, but they’re written in such a way it won’t scare you and they most certainly won’t keep you up at night.
You can purchase a copy of the The Sun Down Motel at these fine retailers:
